We are talking about good information with our groups about using the internet online. There are a lot of ways to stay safe online and there is a lot of do's and don'ts. Don't put any personal information about yourself online and be careful who you talk to. Don't add people as a Facebook friend if you don't know who they are. It is okay to add your friends and share pictures with them, but be careful because those friends can take your pictures and share them with other people. Always remember to log out of your accounts before getting off your computer or cell phone. Anyone could get into your account and steal your information if your not careful enough. I think only kids older than about 16 should be allowed to have a Facebook , Twitter, etc. Young kids don't know much about internet safety and they are the ones who tend to use personal information online.

  1. I agree! The internet can be really scary ha :) There are a lot of ways that we can be bullied, hacked, or even taken the identity of. I enjoy doing things on the internet, but I'm going to keep a closer eye on it!

  2. I agree that kids over 16 should be on social networks because they can be very vaulnerable and not even know it. They can put themselves in danger not even knowing.

  3. Some great reminders and points made in this post. I completely agree that Facebook and Twitter really are places for 'tweens. It reminds of all those online predator specials 60 Minutes was doing for a while; if those kids would have followed guidelines like these, they would have kept themselves safe.
