I've been at home a lot by myself and it gets really boring, so yesterday my mom said she was going to Rochester and I told her I wanted to go with. She said she would wait for me to get done working so that I could go. I even texted her at work reminding her to wait for me. Somehow there was a miscommunication error and when I got home, she had already left. I was upset and because I had to stay home again by myself and when I asked her why she left without me, she said she couldn't remember if I wanted to go or not..

  1. How frustrating! Even after your reminders, she forgot. There must have been kind of noise in the way of the message being received? Maybe she was thinking about other things and didn't fully process the message(s) being sent? A great real-world example of communication going unsuccessfully. Don't forget to proofread before publishing.
