I went shopping with my sisters today and one of our stops was the mall. There is a lot of people there who seem different from other people. They may act weird or dress weird and you never know what to think of them until you get to know them. There was a girl working at one of the stores we went into and she seemed like the type of girl who thinks shes better than everyone else because of the way she dressed and acted. When we were looking around, she came up to us and started a conversation and she turned out to be really nice and outgoing. We had the wrong perception of the girl and now we know that she was actually pretty cool!

I've been at home a lot by myself and it gets really boring, so yesterday my mom said she was going to Rochester and I told her I wanted to go with. She said she would wait for me to get done working so that I could go. I even texted her at work reminding her to wait for me. Somehow there was a miscommunication error and when I got home, she had already left. I was upset and because I had to stay home again by myself and when I asked her why she left without me, she said she couldn't remember if I wanted to go or not..

Jody Holloway was a very entertaining guest speaker. I have seen him twice before the presentation he did for our clasd and I still think he is interesting to watch. He talked about a lot of stuff we learned in class. He talked about feedback and the different ways of it. Feedback can be verbal or nonverbal. My favorite part was when he was showing how important body language, verbal variety, and words are. He taught us in a fun way and it really made sense. What he said about it was very true. All three of those are important in communication. Its hard to communicate if you cant hear someone so words are important. Someone can say the same thing in two different ways and make it mean two different things so you have to be careful on how you say the sentence. It's also hard to concentrate on the speaker if you can't see them or they could be really boring and just stand in one spot to teach. Overall, Jody was a very good presenter and I would recommend him coming again next year!

The video we watched about the artist who drew people as they see themselves and how others see them was very meaningful and had a good connection with what we talked about during class. It resembled the Johari Window because the people on the video didn't see special characteristics about themselves that other people saw. It's sad that there are people who don't see themselves as a beautiful person and I think the results on the video changed a lot of perpective on what the people thought about themselves. I have read a fun fact before that says a person sees themselves five times "less beautiful" than what others see them. I think people should see themselves as beautiful as everyone else.
